The hotel

HISTORY
 
Angvik Gamle Handelssted has roots back to the 1500s when sailling ships from Holland anchored  in the by to buy timber. They started a tradition of taking care of the travellers.
At the end of the 1800s it where steamship dock, trading place and barrel production. After a while Angvik was a of communication.
 
The hotel has a high and unique standard, and is built on the emplacement of the old barrel factory. It is used identical designs and partly the same material as the old barrel factory. Hearth in Bøkkerstua is from the time "Bøkkeren" made barrel, so even if the hotel is a new building the story is in between the walls.
 
We have a excellent kitchen serving delicious food from local culture and traditions.
 
National romantic art, cosy hearth and white tablecloths and nice chinaware are some few keywords.
The hotel is open the trhrougout the year, except closed Christmas and Easter holidays.
 
On weekdays the hotel is filled with groups whcich purposes are meetings, courses, kick-off, "teambuilding" and similar events.
In the weekends is our guests are couples, friends and family that wants to have a peacefull wekeend with fabilous food. Angvik is the place for the special occasions. A memorable day deserves to be celebrated in a memorable place.
