Sights in the area

Our area is packed with attractions.
From Molde you can go on excusions to some of Norway's most famous tourist attractions.  If you take the Atlantic Road you can drive across bridges, islets and skerries right out into the outer reaches of the fjord.  Along the fjord arms you can experience the Eikesdalen valley with its dramatic scenery and the Mardalsfossen waterfall which is one of the highest waterfalls in Northern Europe.  The highest vertical cliff face in Europe, the Troll's Wall, lies just to the south of Åndalsnes, along with the Troll's Ladder tourist road that winds up the mountainside through 11 hairpin bends to a height of 858 metres above sea level.  The Rauma Tourist Railway with its venerable veteran train runs through the Romsdalen valley and up to the mountains at Bjorli, and the idyllic fishing villages of Rauma, Ona, Bjørnsund, Bud and Håholmen are to be found out along the coast.
